Hi.
Thanks for visiting. Bogost.com is the official site of Ian, Abbey, Tristan, and Flannery Bogost. We use this site to post news, stories, photos, and information so our friends and family can keep up with us. When Tristan was born, we planned to make a website for him, but we never got around to it. Unfortunately, we ended up forgetting about a lot of the fun or silly or cool things Tristan did when he was a baby. And we were afraid that the same would be true of him as a toddler. So when Flannery was born, we decided to be more vigilant.

What's here?
The two main areas of this site are the familogue™ and the album.
Familogue.
The familogue is a kind of journal where we post short or long stories and news, mostly about Tristan and Flannery. Some of you may be familiar with blogs, web-based logs or diaries. Blogs have become quite popular in the recent past, and many people use them as quick and easy diaries they can share with other people online. The familogue is a special kind of web log or journal specifically built for posting and sharing content about our (or anyone's) family and their goings on.
We post content to the familogue on a pretty regular basis for bogost.com members to read (more about membership later). Members also have the opportunity to post tidbits about any familogue entry. Tidbits are little responses, comments, reactions, whatever. It's a fun way for you to share your thoughts with us and with the rest of our members.

Album.
The album is our photo and artwork collection. It contains a lot of kid photos, so we don't have to send those images to all our members via email and postal mail. You can browse photos by thumbnails and then view large versions suitable for low-resolution printing. We also imclude some of Tristan's ever-increasing set of drawings and paintings in the album. Typically, we'll write descriptions or stories to accompany each photo to give it context. Right now you can only view photos, but later you'll be able to order prints as well. You can post tidbits for album entries as well.
In addition, you can search across all familogue entries, album photos, and tidbits to find specific content. Oh, and we also run contests and promotions from time to time. You can typically find those on the homepage.

Great. How do I get in?
To view any of the content on the site, you have to be a member. All new membership requests are screened before activation, but we usually activate new members within 24 hours. You can sign up here.
